Arda off to Premier League's highest bidder?

-on SundayArda Turanconfirmed the bombshell dropped a few days earlier by his agent: he wants to leave Atlético de Madrid. The Turkish international had previously told the club as much privately over the phone, but now it is public knowledge.
It had been exactly a week since the Turkish international had used Twitter, and he did so once again to post a message explaining his situation in both his native tongue and English. "The transfer rumours are not entirely correct. My agent is currently in touch with 3-4 clubs. I will update you all if a deal is made", the playmaker tweeted.
Turan's comments seemingly suggest that he isn't too bothered where he ends up going - some or all of the clubs involved are in the Premier League, depending on who you believe - but that he is eager to depart. The last sentence of the tweet, meanwhile, is key, as Atlético have so far greeted the speculation about the 28-year-old by pointing to his €41 million release clause. In practice, the fee could be negotiable, but the 'Rojiblancos' would not be willing to accept much less.
Atlético have already begun preparing for life without Turan. It is the role of the sporting directors, José Luis Pérez Caminero and Andrea Berta, to be constantly thinking about alternatives for every position in the squad, so that situations like the current one do not cause too much disarray.
Leaving aside the possibility of signing a replacement, Diego Simeone does have options: Raúl García, Óliver Torres and Saúl are not specialist wide men, but they could all do a job there. Meanwhile, Antoine Griezmann could also drop a bit deeper.
