Xherdan Shaqiri: Stoke city set to sing winger of intermilan

Stoke City are hopeful of completing the club-record signing of Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan on Tuesday.
The Switzerland winger, 23, was at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday and watched as Stoke lost 1-0 to Liverpool.
The fee for Shaqiri, who has 46 international caps, will be higher than the £10m the Potters paid Tottenham for striker Peter Crouch in 2011.
He will be the Premier League club's ninth summer signing, just a month after the deal appeared to be off.
He joined the Serie A side from German champions Bayern Munich in January and scored three goals in 20 games for the Italians. He has scored 17 times for his country.

Premier League: Yaya Toure, David Silva star as Man City start campaign with impressive win

Yaya Toure rekindled memories of the blockbusting performances that helped Manchester City win two Premier League titles in three seasons, scoring twice in an impressive 3-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion on Monday.
When on song the imposing Toure is one of the most dominant players in European football but those games were few and far between as City finished well adrift in second place last season.er City against West Bromwich Albion. REUTERS
Manuel Pellegrini's side needed to make a statement of intent in their league opener and did so with the long-striding central midfielder Toure leaving the West Brom players floundering in his wake on numerous occasions with powerful runs and incisive passing.
His first goal had an element of fortune, with a double deflection, but a sublime second saw Toure scythe through midfield, exchange passes with compatriot Wilfried Bony, and fire into the top corner.
"I think we saw the Yaya of one season ago, not like last season when he had so many problems," City manager Manuel Pellegrini told Sky Sports.

NBC Sports to Keep Premier League

-The Comcast-owned sports unit will air England’s top league through the 2021-22 season

-NBC Sports Group extended its exclusive agreement to carry England’s Premier League soccer in the U.S. for an additional six years under a new deal announced Monday.

The Comcast Corp.-owned sports unit will air England’s top league through the 2021-2022 season. Ahead of the 2013 season, NBC scored a three-year deal for roughly $250 million, which expires after this season.
The deal is for a higher price per season than NBC’s current contract, said Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBC Sports Group. NBC still has one more year on its current deal, under which NBC pays more than $80 million a year.
Under the new agreement, NBCUniversal will continue to place Premier League contests across its networks, which include the NBC broadcast network, NBC Sports Network and USA Network, plus its live streaming service NBC Sports Live Extra.
The Premier League recently sold its U.K. rights for $7.8 billion for three seasons, up from $4.7 billion for the period from 2013 to 2016.

He helped Leicester win seven and draw one of their final 10 Premier League games to secure top-flight survival.
The former Argentina international won La Liga with Real Madrid and the 2010 Champions League, and five Serie A titles with Inter Milan.

PSG Confirms Ángel Di María's £44.3M Transfer

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain had recently confirmed the £44. 3 million transfer of Argentine winger Ángel Di María from Premier League club Manchester United to their side, as reported by Daily Mail Online.

The 27-year-old Argentina international had a turbulent year with the Old Trafford giants both on and off the field and had requested to be transferred this offseason.

Les Parisiens had long been interested in the services of Di María as coach Laurent Blanc intended to join him with mainstays Zlatan Ibrahimović and Edinson Cavani to form a three-pronged attack

Dzeko transfer delayed

Edin Dzeko passed his Roma medical, but can’t complete the transfer from Manchester City until someone else is sold.
The striker arrived on Thursday and was greeted at Fiumicino Airport by over 3,000 cheering fans.
He underwent a medical on Friday and to all intents and purposes is a Roma player.
However, Sky Sport Italia note the reason for delays in the paperwork is that the club already filled its quota of non-EU players.
In order to sign Bosnia international Dzeko, they must first sell one of their current non-EU figures.
The candidates to exit are Brazilian defender Marquinho and Paraguayan striker Tonny Sanabria.
