Lucas Biglia joins the party

-Lucas Biglia has been caught up in the summer rumour mill, with various Italian sources assuring that Real Madrid are highly interested in the Argentine to reinforce their midfield. 'Radiosei' has quoted FIFA agent Alessio Scalera as saying, "A week ago, an offer arrived from Real Madrid at Lazio's offices for 22 million plus a bonus if he helped them win la Liga or the Champions League."
This radio station is not alone in claiming that something is afoot. 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' has even declared that Lazio's president, Claudio Lottio, has turned the offer down, as he wants at least 30 million for the player.
For their part, 'Los Blancos' don't want to go out of their way for a central midfielder. Rafa Benítez feels that he has a great squad to choose from and wants to check out the performance of each and every player in the pre-season. He will be keeping an extra-special eye on Casemiro, Illarra and Lucas Silva. If they fail to impress, the new manager will be asking his club for reinforcement in the centre of the park.
And this is where Biglia might come in, a player that Benítez likes a lot. The Real Madrid manager has been keeping tabs on him for some time and now, according to the Italian media, Real Madrid have him ready if needs must. It all depends how things pan out over the coming weeks.
